I stand at my window

Looking up at the stars

They are so terribly bright,

So terribly bright.

I look into your eyes.

They sparkle with a flame

A fire that is so terribly bright,

So terribly bright.

I look everywhere, every day.

Searching for a light

That will not scorch my eyes.

Because everything for me

Is so terribly bright.

There are shade spots in life to cool off

Like I said, I don't know what was going through my mind when I wrote this. However, let me attempt to explain. Let's say that a... person has... just found the love of their life. They weren't expecting it, and suddenly, everything in their world was too 'bright', too good to be true. And they're waiting for that one thing that's supposed to make it all fall apart because that's what they are used to... Does that clear everything up? I do agree that there is shade, but that wasn't really what I meant when I wrote this... I think. Still, maybe it is best for interpretation to be left to the reader.... I talk too much. What I should be saying is... thank you for reading!!! (and commenting)
