I am not a regular person
Who is merely content with reality.
No, I am not a pragmatic person,
Who is only concerned with business.
I am a dreamer!
I am that mouse who outwits the cat,
I am that sentry, standing at duty,
I am that dragon with bright scales.
Some say what a waste it is,
That a dreamer like me
Should waste my thoughts on
Petty wishes about the sky.
But I am satisfied,
For I alone gaurd the
Rusty Gates of Imagination,
And know of the treasure within.
For even in isolation,
I am not alone.
And when all seems lost,
I still have hope.
And, the most wonderful gift,
The best of all is,
I can see the stars
For what the truly are.
For are not dreams,
The stuff of stars?
