And in my sleep deprived state
Appeared to be in ghostly shape
Images gloating of mistakes
Making me call out and wake
Started simply as a flicker
Fuzzy line surfaced quicker
Blinked but image emerged slicker
Polarised by the liquor
Picture of Dad
Void of colour
Winced at me
Blurred to duller
An infant child
Wrapped in shawl
With backdrop of
Bare grey wall
Aura of
Distraught spouse
Echoing
Throughout the house
Accusing
Howling too
Startled me
Appeared true
Each monochrome
Apocalyptic
All alone
With message cryptic
