A young teacher with mousy hair
Did not deserve my venom bare
The words I chose to scream and swear
A newby and it wasn’t fair
The truth is I was good at nought
Apart from rules I chose to flout
Quite simply I was mindless lout
*Deserved of unlawful clout *deserv-ed
And did the other pupils find
Event humorous in their mind?
Chilling one, that unkind
Amidst the rather more refined?
Own humour quickly dissipated
No longer felt smug; elated
News of notice I’d created
Realisation of self hatred
Staff room I was uninvited
Teachers were hardly delighted
Stood together quite united
Me stupid but not short-sighted
Insisted I would stand in place
And humbled by her tearstained face
Apologised not without grace
She rightly refused to touch base
