Riding Pegasus

I flew over the city, my arms spread wide open, my hair whipping around my head. Dipping his head Pegasus gracefully landed on the Empire State Building. Slipping from his back, I ran my hands through his mane and breathed in his musky scent. Closing my eyes, I let him go. I kept them closed until the steady beat of his wings began to fade. Smiling through my tears I watched him fly away over the city and the mountains where he belonged.
