Screaming

For an escape

From life

From death

From

Pain

From

Love

Why do we fight

Why do we kill

Why do we feel

The need

To destroy what’s real

To destroy what’s true

Not me

Not you

But them

And him

The one

The

Son

The heir to this reality

They call his name

They slaughter

Is he at fault

Or are they

Or are

For standing idly by

Unable to be convinced

We judge them

Criticize them

But it

Is us

Not them

Or will not fight for belief.
