What lies of life
Depressed and dead
Confessed and fed
With fallacies of the right
Of the just
Of peace
What truths withheld
Compressed and kept
Reset and left
What truths we’ve knelt to
Bowed to
Prayed to
None
Everything turns to nothing
And nothing comes again
Nothing is reborn
No one is brought back
Gods give way
To gods
And mortals
To mortals
Too many religions lost
Once thought truths
Or revered as falsities
Now forgotten
What new religions can last
Who is to say they will not subside
When lies of life
Are depressed and dead
And truths
Compressed and kept
Until forgotten
Until the falsities of heresy
And heterodoxy come again
And are revered as truths
Everything turns to nothing
Everything
Without exception
We all die
Mortals and gods alike.
