Only the most beautiful flowers are allowed to bear thorns
Blood drips from my wound
Sweet the scent that spreads
Clearing the air of these lies
And sullen thoughts from my head
A sullen prick
From the thorns of love
So sweet this rose
Embraced by dove
How sullen these cries
I cannot hear
Your whispers hide me
From sweet despair
We curl beneath
This sweet full moon
No more blood
From sullen wounds
I will protect you
From sullen tears
If your sweet voice can shield me
From hounding fears
So intoxicatingly sweet
This sylphic bond
Reminiscence cannot find
Your sullen song
Dancing in the rain
Sitting beneath the sweet moon
Together we can ignore
The blood that drips from sullen wounds.
But only the most beautiful flower is allowed to bear thorns.
