Sometimes you cant make a triumphant comeback after youve lost it all. Sometimes you have to protect what you have, before it's too late. View table of contents...

Just as the waters of Death
Come to take you away
Just as the whispers of life
Come to you to promise new day
Just as you think there is naught to gain
Just as you're wrapped in fallacious pain
Just as you realize
That nothing is right
That all you have fought for
Has been lost to Death's blight
Just as you're world
Comes crashing relentlessly down
Just as you're lying
In a pool of blood on the ground
Just as you think
That its over at last
That all your pain
Has come and past
And finally you can rest
All this grief lifted from your chest
You’ll find
That somewhere in the back of your mind
A whispering voice
So sweet and sublime
You’ll realize where it all went wrong
And you’ll stand triumphant
Confident and strong
You’ll pull yourself together
And get back up onto your feet
If only life could be this way
If only it could be
But more often then not
You’ll lose yourself
The truth will never be seen
Don’t wait
Until it is too late
Don’t wait
Until you die
Don’t crie
Stand tall
And never again will you fall
But don’t wait
Until it is too late.

Good advice. If I were concerned how my audience felt, I would certainly take that into consideration.

This is amazing. Just like everything else it is coming from your heart. And it hits someone elses heart. Including mine. I was thinking abotu my sister when I read this. How she fought for 7 yrs. against cancer. But she couldn't win. I thought about that in the beginning. But at the end I thought about living your life to the best it can be. Because it will end at some point. Sometimes sooner than it should be. But you have to make it the best short or long life that you can. I don't know.. That's just the message I got from it. Thankyou a lot for writing this again.

I'm glad you took something from this. But I disagree to an extent with what you've said. Life shouldn't always be lived to the fullest of your abilities, because helping others will hinder that. I believe you should live your life in the persuit of making other peoples lives just a little more bearable, but without sacrificing your own happiness on the way. Thank you very much for the comment, it means a lot to me.

That's part of living my life to the fullest.. I want to help people. like child abuse victims and stuff like that. if you read my relay for life speech.. thats something that I did. I read that in front of hundreds of people for my sister. because every year they dedicate that relay for life walk to someone that has passed away from cancer. I completely understand what your saying too. sometimes me trying to help people gets in the way of my happiness cause I want to help everyone. And sometimes its just too much to take. and you're welcome for all of the comments. Thankyou for yours!

But even a full life ends, no? =^.^=

In the moment, the reality is the pain. Later, the endurance is the life. Finally, the end is the journey. How you choose to view it depends ...

As is the way of things.

Here is another poem that made me sit back and think. I really like that about your works. Its insightful. When i read it I have to stop and go back because there is so much punch in each part that I feel I miss part of it. This is a good thing. You are saying more that just the words, there is meaning behind the meanings. Im not sure if I am explaining this well, but the short of the matter is I love your stuff, and really look forward to reading more.

Wow, I am truly flattered. I have always written my work with a certain amount of profoundness that is meant more for myself then the reader. This usually leaves many readers dissapointed by my lack of "entertaining" pieces. It is always such a joy to hear a comment from someone who has looked more into my work for reason, not entertainment. Thank you very much for all your comments. =^.^=
