Just a thing I wrote while watching 'Where the Heart Is'

With every breath we make

And every step we take

We lose ourselves a little

And find ourselves a lot.

We arrive at a place

In a new time and space

With people we love

And others we hate.

We can't stop time

But we wish we could

So we cry and say 'what if'.

But since that doesn't work

To turn back the clock

We stomp and have a fit.

At the end of our lines

We say 'what if' once more

But then '''slam''' goes the life door.

In the afterlife when we watch the

'Big Movie' we see the 'what if's' for real.

We like them more but set is the score

So we remain life's little whores.
