To recognize what is lacking~
And with truth and love rise to meet the need.
To understand if and when the ground is fertile~
And be in season to sow a loving seed.
Always listening for God's true and loving voice~
Waiting in His time, and His will, then taking His heed.
It takes one wanting to be made into a certain vessel~
Living just to be of this merciful, unique breed.
Beating out your every word to show~
That you mean them sincerely by your deed.
Revealing the lies of the truthless and the dead~
Knowing the battle will prove you in the lead.
Consider all you meet as your life goes~
As Divine interventios teaching lessons that YOU need.
Being willing to take a bullet for another~
Knowing the last thing you'll do on earth is bleed.
Do to others as you want to be done~
Being your life's motto and your every motive's creed.
These are some of the customs of loving~
Kindness, patience, grace, and mercy in deed.
