A Musing on Soul Mates
He touches me and the world melts like sweet honey. For that fleeting moment,
when we are the last man and woman standing on earth, lost in each other's eyes, worlds, galaxies…
it is scary to know I can feel this deep. It is scary that I can not see the bottom. We drift among stars, they hold us in place.
The world comes rushing back into focus, with all its harsh imagery.
Yet a piece of our souls remain free, outside of reality's jurisdiction.
