Lightening is cutting across
The unearthly clear blue sky
I'm afraid the end of days has come
But I hadn't wondered why
And without a cloud I am introduced
To an endless, burning rain
Which splashes on the pavement
Where my character was slain
It washes away any memory
Of the truths I once had wore
Like simple badges of honor
When my wounds had become sore
And the chalk outline has faded
So this tempest has brought to pass
A horrid looking carcass
That resembles shattered glass
