There is no love like that of a mother's
It is in our reflection
That we see her
In her rawest form

She is hope when we are lost
Her arms a resting sanctuary
Her laugh like wind chimes
Her words, a song to worship

And though she scolds us
With a stern finger
Though we have moments
Where we think we hate her
The love that exists
Is much too primal to ever end

So hold her close
When you have the chance
Thank her for
Her touch, her laugh, her words
For there was no one like her before
And will never be after
