I cover everything in a smothering coat,
Painting a picture of gray misery as I float.
Screams of pain and suffer smell
Whilst I know that it was I who tolled the bells,
Assembled from a fiery hell,
And yet, still more my story tells.
I see you lay there on the floor,
But I still rain down more and more;
Your once proud town’s forgotten once more,
Not a living soul to settle the score.
It’s silent now.
You don’t know how;
You don’t even know why
Or how you’d even begin to try.
But I am all that remains;
The light and gray stains.
I destroyed the lives of thousands simply floating,
And coating.
I am death and what you’ll see after it.
Ashes to ashes;
Dust to dust.
