Tomorrow, I am alone.
Yesterday, I lived alone.
Do you know me?
Forsaken am I by what I am,
Tormented am I by who I am.
Am I?
Know me do you when your eyes linger,
I am yours and yet you know me not.
Feel me do you when appearance conveys not the earnest desires of innocent supplications.
Abandon me do you when I lay as such,
sequestered and gasping for air – for you.
You are mine and yet you know me not.
Are you?
To endure this age
To find refuge
To think of it but as ephemeral, just for now.
For now is too long
Yesterday seemed only to manifest the epitome of bitter discontent
Today I weep;
tomorrow I scream.
Laughing in misery is no remedy;
the supple yields of torture’s irony.
I have masked me, myself
and having taken such off, they see me not;
still an embodiment of my forced ordinary.
I try to endure, but I fail;
defenestrated by society’s blunders of marginalization.
I succumb to my complete juxtaposition: I am my own sacrifice, my own martyr.
But if you seem, I’ll smile. Everything’s fine.
