Ticket says Reno.
Eight o' Clock
Sitting alone
Watching Sunset
Slow draw off a cigarette
Eyelids set
Bank account low
Impatient
raindrops fall
on the window
The clock moves slow
Ready to go
Too much noise
in the room
Ringing
in my
ears
Try to read a book
but cant concentrate
screaming child
mother
ignores him
Starting to get very annoyed
Respect
too much to ask
pain in the ass
bite my tongue
Fluorescent lights
Flicker overhead
Water leaks
Hideous paint on the wall
Cool October wind
Man sits on the bench
He is far too close
I smell his breath
His body odor - strong
Violating space
Feeling hostile
Why pick this bench?
There were many others.
I've been here for an hour
Now, you've ruined that.
Not worth the fight.
I get up.
Pacing the floors
Spider on the door
Second hand ticking
Manic Moment
Thoughts racing
Anxious
chasing
the great dragon
Hands twisting
nervous action
The surface calm
but below
heart racing
Forgot my meds
I need to breathe
take a step
remain at ease
Almost over
Don't freak.
Headlights
Hear the squeal of the brakes
the bus arrives
odor and exhaust
Grab my bag - I head for the door.
ready to get this show going
Walk down a long aisle
back of the bus
I sit.
Relax
Sleep
Dream
Peace
