Guitar Strings hum
Prodigal son.
The Tax Man.
Jazz band, standing room only.
Dueling pianos at 12 a.m.
Play for wooden nickels.
In smoked filled bars.
Punchline in 88 keys.
Hennessy.
Shots of Whiskey
By the lake.
Lips on the mouthpiece - the saxaphone.
Wealthy couples in the corner
Sip sauvignon.
Tourists
to to the scene.
Dressed to impress.
Gold and diamonds on black.
Forced accents of sophistication -
The aliens have landed.
Stepping outside
I watch waves on the shore.
The Rippled moon.
Houseboat floating in the distance.
