Upon great mountains
Ancient, powerful mountains
Standing as guardians to
valleys below.
From the stone and sand that
man arose.
Glorious mountains.
Peacefully embraced.
I watched as Moses descended
bringing forth the commandments of God.
I've stood beneath Olympus
at the dawn of civilization.
The beautiful burnt amber
of the changing leaves
as Autumn ushers in the winter.
The echo of moonshine and
gunpowder
from the families who battle for
soil -
awash in familiar blood.
Atop these great mountains
The Angels soar as golden eagles.
Ancient mountains
At peace in your magnificent grace.
