I'D RATHER BE THE RAINDROPS

Poem By: jadey oneil
Poetry

When I wrote this, I played the actress here. It's no ordinary task. I know writers could be anyone else in their piece but this was quite different. I put myself into the shoes of my friend,Pisceanmood. So, this was her story. I had her read it and she loved it.xD View table of contents...

Those eyes were as chinky as mine;

I’d wonder if you whined about them;

There wasn't a moment I didn't;

How come I loved yours than my own?

* * *

Your lips, as lovely as the rose's petals;

Your words slipped out just as sweet;

They rested onto where my smile was;

That was barely a kiss.

* * *

Your little gentle gesture was my caress;

It made me want to cling on you;

If you were to cast your spell on me;

Could there ever be you and me?

* * *

We're like the clouds and the rain,

Stealing moments while the sun’s away;

I knew this could never be;

How would the rain take its fall?

* * *

I'd rather be the raindrops, I thought…

Where I could be with whoever caught me;

As the passing breeze blew you away;

You'd see what your absence could make of me.

I'm grateful you've allowed me to pry a little bit so I could have a feel of it. I say, id rather write your story. That's a lot easier than being you. Find someone else to blame for such a pretty face! xD

I feel glad you liked it. :-)

Loved it....great display of emotion. Its a lovely piece.

Flattering. *smiling*
Thanks, Susan! :-)

yes, very beautiful. I felt the longing for someone that could never be, although something was there, a connection? I felt such restraint and inner sadness wanting to be let go with the rain. Absolutely lovely!

You got it right, Emily. It's a story of attraction that needed to be cut off. Sad but it was for the best. Thanks!:-)

i felt the same way as Emily summarised....
felt like getting lost again....in the hands of someone who will love me, care for me and keep me near soul.....i wish i was a raindrop too

We get lost at times. It's something that happens to all. When we're lost, someone will find us...in time...in His time. Go and get going, Pratibha. Someone might have started looking for you. You may not have any idea who he is but God does. GodBless always! :-)

hi! jadey. this is the beauty of rain - it 'falls' but raises peoples' spirit. nice poem. lol. ;-)

Absolutely, Bubbly! When the rain leaves its home, it gives life to others. The separation isn't really bad at all. Nice insight. I appreciate such thinking. Thanks for dropping by. :-)

This is most certainly some inner sanctuary work out process.

Beautiful.
