Speak or Listen

Poetry By: James Feww

I had this thought in my head for many years now and I felt like expressing it in a poem.

Speak, speak they say

And, when I speak

Listen, Listen they say

As if I have never listened before

When they say this

And, I question why even speaking

Seeing loneliness was better

But, loneliness was vexing

I enjoy the comfort I provide myself

But, sought others kindness

Questioning now if it ever existed

Seeing the frustrations of social

A world I wonder if I want to belong

Or leave behind

Something I yet to decide

Oh, how vexing

So, vexing

Just plain vexing

But, whatever choice

It's My choice
