Disjointed broken interjected

piecemeal avalanche of words

on tourists’ tongues more felt than heard

threads of meaning scrambled knotted twisted

out of line

bombarding senses intertwined

with attempts

at sharing sense while sitting at

sidewalk cafés

sipping coffee by the Rhine

Oh what a lovely picture you have painted! Beautiful words and imagery. I have many memories of sitting in European cafe's that you have ressurected with this poem. As Bob Hope used to say and sing... "Thanks for the memories.".....Jerry

Hi Jerry,
Glad it brought back good memories.
I think there was an old line from a Simon & Garfunkle song running thru my mind; dangling conversations; and it came out syncopated, literally.
