Prince Oh So Charming

Poetry By: James Troxler
Poetry

I love cliches. I love seeing them, using them, and challenging them. Time to bring one down to earth and give it a good kicking.
This one's for the ladies who've been smitten and bitten.

Prince Charming has that winning smile
That makes the ladies weak.
He could make a stone stand and dance
If it heard him speak.
He always dresses and impresses
With the latest style.
And for the princess on his arm
He goes that extra mile.
For his stride crosses over clouds
Whilst his dance is graceful.
And to the lady on his arm
He is always faithful.

Or so we dream...

Prince Charming has those lilting eyes
And his smile is a sweet disquise.
His purse holds his true delight.
Yours is not the only ear he whispers in.
With a tongue of silver and heart of tin,
He picks your bones clean of every bite.
So beware the Prince you find so charming
For the hidden truth is quite alarming.
Your golden heart is a clink in his purse.
