Master of illusion.
I can make things appear as true,
Though its obvious to me they are not.
Like the smile on my face,
So genuine, so true.
But look into my eyes,
Do you see happiness?
The absence of tears I made disappear
Creates another illusion.
And look at my heart-
Still together, beating strong,
But you see my creation.
My heart is in a thousand pieces,
Shattered by hardships of life
And lost loves.
Few know what I've endured
In my short time in the world.
To all I appear a young man,
Strong, courageous, fearing not.
But I am old and worn,
Fearing the next challenge life may present.
But no one can tell becsuse
I am the one known as Merlin,
Master of illusion.
