This quarrel first, yet not our last.
Though more will come; they too shall pass.
Our love is strong, and with this test,
Swiftly lay any doubt to rest.
Perfection forever, how sweet thy goal.
But lifelong happiness, brief sorrow's thy toll.
I shall pay thy debt with no pretense,
If eternal happiness be the consequence.
Seems to me such a small sum to pay
To find happiness with you forever and a day.
