Sunset (Once More)

Poetry By: Jaywrite44

Confliction and confusion can make for some long nights.....

It was the sunset I once adored,
Admiring the colors scattered 'cross the sky.
Overwhelmed by its beauty,
The true madness was hidden from my eyes.
Now I've grown to see the pain,
The beauty, no more than the devil's guise.
O light of day that hides my sorrow,
How I hate to see it end.
The once glorious sunset is now
An omen of what will soon come.
Demons released to roam my mind and body.
They take control and I no longer own my soul.
I am left with no strength to fight,
And my strength to endure is fleeting.
O sunset, no longer can I adore.
O sunset, must you come once more?
