I'm sleeping, I close my eyes
and let the truth of the world fall away.
I clear my mind of all the painful things
the world can inflict on one person.
I fall into this peaceful state,
full of dream filled thoughts and colorful moments.
I walk toward what I only remember as perfection,
something so full of beauty and forgiveness,
it can only be one thing.
As the sun starts to rise,
I slowly drift back into my pain stricken life,
mourning over the loss of the perfect place,
the only place I could really call mine.
For everything in my own life leaves me alone,
with only my thoughts,
my dreams, my own little place
that will never leave me.
Lost to the world, found only by me.
