Shining down brightly
was the cold winters moon,
Casting around shadows
that would leave us all soon.
Far off in the distance
I heard a soundless cry,
Tearing at my heart
making me want to die.
Softly were the words
that sounded in my ears,
Slowly ripping away
at all of my worst fears.
There is no safety
on this cloudless night,
While searching for horrors
that give off this fright.
I will search for you always
as the world slowly dies,
Under the cold winters moon
where our love softly lies.
