Our Twisted Fate

Poetry By: JBrewer

I have thought on this one for about 2 weeks now. Maybe longer. I have had people asking me to write happier poems, different poems and others that tell me I am great with twisting dark and sad poetry. So with this one I wanted to do something a little different, I wanted to go dark, with a twist. I hope you all enjoy.

Everyday I stand alone,
I fight with you
in your evil ways.
No matter how many times
I fix you,
my effort never stays.
I gently try
to figure you out,
taking things very slow.
And even when
I get frustrated,
I keep my voice a calming low.
But you're a twisted thing
that never gives,
I'm pretty sure that I hate you.
As I raise my voice
I begin to curse,
I'm pretty sure you hate me too.
Then finally
I had to much with you,
"Enough" I screamed!
I yelled.
As the blade gleamed.
The laces slowly fell,
it's over
it's done
I won
There isn't a knot
in my shoe anymore.
