Soundless by JB

By: JBrewer

Page 1, This is an older poem, I did some editing to it. Here is both versions of it.

Sitting,
contemplating life as a snow flake,
that's falling into a fire.

Melting,
slowly evaporating, becoming nothing,
before it even has a chance to begin.

Birds chirp,
hearing no sound, as their singing song,
echo's to no one.

Frozen,
where water touches the tree limbs,
like ice made in the freezer.

Soundless,
are the flames as the fire burns,
and the tree tops hiss and crackle.

Flowing,
water reaches the burning pit,
as ice melts from branches torn,

Softly,
never enough to make a sound,
as silently, fading the fire's burning light.

Desperately
echo's call is heard when darkness expands,
but no bird chirped that sound.

Forgotten,
the sight, the beauty of that moment,
as the fires crackle slowly dies.

Soundless

Sitting contemplating life as a snow flake falling into a fire, melting, evaporating becoming nothing before it even has a chance to begin.  Birds chirp, but hear no sound as their singing song echo's to no one.  Tree limbs frozen where water touches, like ice made in the freezer.  No sound made as the fire burns, as tree tops hiss and crackle. Water reaches the burning pit, as ice melts from branches torn, Never enough to make a sound, as silently, fading the fire's light.  Echo's call is heard when darkness expands across, but no bird chirped that sound, as a fires crackle slowly dies.
