As the night settles,
the storm rolls in.
The lightning strikes,
the thunder roars.
We feel this darkness,
as the rain starts to pour.
We close our windows,
and lock our doors.
But this darkness gets in,
it's been here all along.
We held it inside,
and refused to let it go.
On these nights like this,
we have to admit to the pain.
As the rain begins to fall,
we start to let our pain show.
