From God To Child (c) Jeff Shumate 2009

The wind blew softly,
Free and wild,

Whispering the tale of freedom,
From God to child,

Many are born, imprissoned-oppressed,
Within the soul,
Freedom's perfromance will nest,

On the outside, it's here, it's gone,
Just like the wind,
It won't always stay so long,

Freedom comes-from deep within,
From God to child,
It's soar will begin,

If perhaps, our freedom leaves,
Look deep inside, hear the breeze,

Eternal freedom, will always be,
For His glory, for all to see,

For the wicked, their heart's desire,
To burn all freedom, with the evil fire,

From within the ashes, deep inside,
Eternal freedom, will reside,

In the soul, it may choose,
Christ and glory,
Designed by God,
Not to lose,

Whether you live,
In castle or chain,
Use God-given freedom,
not in vain,

The most important choice,
One can make,
Is believing in Christ,
Make no mistake!

The God-Man, came to the cross,
And chose to die, for the lost,

Thank you Lord, we're free to choose,
From God to child,
A soul ought never lose.
