I had the perfect world
My friends would make me smile
But then he came along
And sent me down in a spiral

I’ve been through a lot
Good and bad
I thought I saw the worst
But egad

He ruined my life
With every chance he got
He took everything away
Everyone forgot

Everyone adored him
Everyone loved him
But not me
I saw through him

I saw his real intentions
He's no mastermind
He's nothing but an insect
With very little time

I shall tell everyone
Tell them all the truth
But first I’ll need evidence
I will need some proof

Outside his window
I look in
With my camera
Now let’s begin

He enters his room
He acts all normal
But in due time
There’ll be no need to be formal

An hour passes
Nothing good
If only I could stay
Oh I wish I could

So off to home
But it’s ok
There's always tomorrow
And even the next day

A few days pass
And I’ve tried everything
But as it seems
Nothing is working

All that’s left
Is for me to confess
Tell all my friends
And clean this mess

I gather them all up
Including the villain
"It is high time,
That this charade end!"

"He’s been deceiving you,
It’s all lies,
Every last one,
Just look into his eyes!"

They all look at me
Shocked and surprised
"Can’t you all see?
He’s nothing but lies!"

They all stand in awe
And then start defending
"What is wrong?
Why don’t you believe me?"

My best friend slaps me
Asking me why
Why I would say such a thing
About such a sweet guy

"He’s not sweet!
He’s nothing but evil!
Why can’t you see,
That he is the devil?!"

He starts to cry
And hold his head in his hands
They take him away
And alone I stand

They all walk away
Disappointed with me
They all think he’s great
But soon they’ll see

A few months pass
I’ve been all alone
But then I hear
A siren from within this zone

I look out my window
And guess what I see
It’s an ambulance
Soaring down the street

I rush out the door
And run to the house
That the ambulance is at
And see what it’s about

When I get there
What a catastrophe
I see my best friend
Lying on a gurney

I run to her mom
And ask what happened
Come to find out
She got an addiction

It all started
A few weeks after
My big commotion
That sick man addicted her

The ambulance leaves
And I rush to my car
I follow after them
But they’re pretty far

To the hospital
I finally make it
I rush inside
Soaking wet

It’s raining outside
But that doesn’t matter
So I rush to a nurse
And tell her the matter

She points to the front desk
So there I ran
I almost slip
But am able to stand

When I make it
I see a man
I hastily tell him
I’m foreign to this land

He asks me some questions
About who I’m looking for
I quickly tell him
Her surname and fore

He points in the direction
That I must head
He then tells me
The layout of this labyrinth

I make my way
To the elevator
I press the arrow
And then just wait there

When it finally comes
It felt like eternity
Waiting for it
Stupid technology

I step inside
And press number 4
I then press another button
That closes the door

It gets to my floor
And I rush to a nurse
She tells me where to go
So then we disperse

I rush down the hallway
And on my right
I see the door
Marked 135

I open the door
And on a bed
I see my friend
With the sheet over her head

I stand in shock
Then the doctor sees me
"I’m sorry sir,
But she’s taken her leave."

I fall to my knees
Tears start to fall
I cradle my head
And can’t help but yell

I scream to the heavens
With all my might
"Why couldn’t they believe me?!
Why’d they have to fight?!"

A nurse walks over
Kneels down beside me
"I’m sorry" She says
And then she hugs me

As I’m crying
I tell her the story
I then wipe my tears
And put my hands on my knees

"Before her departure,
She wanted me to tell you,
How she was sorry,
That she didn’t believe you."

"She said you were right,
About the whole thing,
And she hopes you can forgive her,
For her betraying."

I look at the nurse
And then the bed
"You didn’t betray me,
Let go too easily I did."

I then stand up
And walk to her side
"It’s all my fault,
That you died."

"I gave up too easily,
I threw in the towel.
It was all my fault,
It was all my foul."

"I acted stupid,
Because I lost your attention.
All I wanted,
Was to be loved again."

The nurse walks over
And next to me she stands
"She also mentioned,
That you were best friends."

I nod my head
With tears again
I slightly move the sheet
And hold onto her hand

"She also told me,
Something else to say,
If I were to see you,
Today."

I look at the nurse
"What did she tell you?"
The nurse looks at me
"That she loved you."

"She said she was sad,
That she never got to see you.
She said that everyday,
She thought about how she loved you."

I lay my head
On my friend’s chest
Completely sobbing
Filled with regret

"I love you too,
My sweet little angel.
Without you here,
This world is hell."

"We need you here,
Without you we’ll fail.
As a civilization,
We’ll become frail."

A few moments later
Her mother walks in
She sees her daughter
And the crying begins

She rushes to her
Crying a river
She picks up her hand
And starts to shiver

She drops to her knees
I run to her side
I kneel down next to her
And together we cried

A few weeks have passed
And it’s been terrible
Her mother’s an alcoholic
And off my building I fell

My friends have all passed
From the same reason as her
All because of that insect
Who still walks this earth
