Born into this world, we come bare!
into this world, in nothing we care!
a clean slate, we are ready to learn
different lessons, and to examples we turn
shaped to mimic other's people thought
we eventually never do what we were taught
And pure and true we try to be
honest to oneself and for others to see
That one day we might all stand tall
and to our origins we will heed the call
In the end we all want to be proud
raise our heads and shout out loud
Through obstacles and pain we bled
And from the shackles of time we fled
Through life, memories were etched
the plans for next generations, sketched
Sound the horns, raise the flags
as we ready to leave, we leave our bags
Steps nearing our final rest
we tried, we really did out best
Out in the wind, water and land we walked
And one last time we gazed affront and talked
We were here, we lived good
on the stairs of glory we stood
