A short view of my personal outlook on things to come and how to interpret them.

What does the future hold but mysteries and questions,
Mistakes to be made, to be turned into lessons,
Lessons to be learned, to be feared, to be heard,
We shout out these lines but they don't hear a word,
Lives to be changed, but sometimes are unaltered,
Because the very fear that we've learned, has caused us to falter,
We pursue the things that will make us the happiest,
But it's these things we pursue that often run the fastest,
We try harder, run faster, but often to no avail,
But we would rather keep trying than to say that we've failed
It's this drive, this passion, that pushes us on,
When the road gets tough, the weak get strong
Our faith is what binds us, causes us to see
That if we keep trying, if we just believe
That there's hope at the end of the path that we follow
We will soon see the things that fill the space that was hollow
Its these questions we chase that consume us like cancer
But if we keep our head up we will only find answers
