When God made sisters

He knew what He was doing.

He knew we'd fall and need a hand

To pull us up and help us stand.

He knew we'd need a listening ear

To talk things thru when hard times were here.

He knew we'd need a faithful friend

To walk around life's every bend.

He knew we'd need a lot of things

I don't have room to mention

And this is why, I believe,

Sisters are the perfect invention.

This is a beautiful sentiment, but it is not always true...the faithful forever friend. Not in my case anyway. I also have two sisters and they stopped loving me when they found out I was pregnant as a result of the rape of my stepfather. Not sure why they chose to hate me for something that was beyond my control, them and my brother. Anyway it was still beautiful and nicely written.

I am sorry to hear that your biological sisters' acceptance of you was conditional. I am also sorry for the traumatic happenings of your past. I did not have the utter violation of trust brought on by a family member but I do understand somewhat in that I have had this unfortunate situation occur more than once in my life. I was not pregnant due to these instances but they led to the choses I have made over the last several years. Including the act that gave me my son. At that point I realized I was not just surviving for one and had to LIVE for two. Since that time I have come back to the church and realized that sisters are not just biological but spiritual. I pray that God grants you sisters in the truest form throughout your life. I will understand if you do not wish to answer my next question but I was wondering how things are for you now? Either way I will keep you in my prayers from now on. Thank you for your comments!
