a little thing that popped into mind as I continue to have a greater respect for silent and beginning sound films. Thelma Todd died very young (29). So many rumors of murder surrounding her being. And some of a car accident. However she died we will never know. She was in many films for someone of her age who did not getting larger parts til the late 1920's. Born in Lynn MA in 1906 Died in 1935. You can find out more about her and what fils she was in by visiting www.imdb.com

The world watched you

As looking at a still

The beauty you posed

So elegant and pure

There has never been

anyone more graceful

But your untimely death

Is immortalized

You took to the colorless screen

as a bat in flight

and pulled in the crowds

The many parts you where charactorized

belonged to you

pure as the wind and winter snow

Why was your life destroyed?

the tender age of 29.

Todays films can not be well adored

for no actor or actress

can fill you shoes.

The natural inoccents

the sparkle in the eye

To my heart

more beautiful than any well know

you could make believers out of any man or woman

have them feeling as you did.

Oh Thelma Todd

No Marylon Monroe nor Pamela Anderson

can show true beauty.

You,

still just a child

so many wonderful portraying of emothins

None can ever meet.
