Excuse me while I choke
on my T.V. again
Shot gun crazy on the expressway
are classroom shootings the American way
Hey!
It is one more child abduction
one more celebrity seduction
and one more ex-president at a luncheon
as one more veteran starves on our streets
Why am I a bit Sin-ical
I don’t know but I do see images…
of war… of crime… of death…
of entertainment?
I wonder how we can love Lucy so much
When we are so Lost
in moving pictures in a box?
Why am I a bit Sin-ical
I don’t know but I do
wonder why it is such the rage
in this digital age
to die.
I feel such indigestion
with a lump in my throat,
and I choke… We choke…
