I look across the crashing blue of the ocean
Smelling the salt in the crystal blue
And feeling the wonders of the water
In the water and the sand beneath my feet
And I spot a rainbow in the horizon
I so wish I could touch...
I sit posed like a sculpture by Rodin
And I am thinking of the horizon off in the distance
It will always be ahead of me
I can hear the Dolphin’s cry
For the songs sang from soft lips
And I know…
I have found a bright star
Alone in the sparkling rough facets
Of diamonds in the darkness of a mine
Hoping it will provide enough light to guide my way
to the rainbow
and I smile…and I smile…
I turn to gaze as the dance finally unfolds for me
It was true what old artist’s believe
As the beauty of Venus
Sang of something deeper to my thoughts
Breaking the stale air as I hunger
And I can smell a flower…
It is the weakness in me
