Empty Horizon
Because there was nothing else to do
I turned my back on the sea and you
And headed home
By the time I reached the top of the path
All sight of your ship was gone
I stood for a while
And carefully watched nothing on the horizon
I thought of grains of sand
Running through my hands
Losing themselves on the beach
Hiding out of reach
And I wondered what happens to dreams
That get washed away with the tide .....
