Song for a Soulless Misfit

Little did she know.

She said life had no place for her,
that she's going somewhere big enough,
somewhere full of light and love;
for she could find nowhere on earth,
nowhere she belonged,
nowhere she called home.
One night, without packing her bags,
without a dime; but only a bang,
she crept away, leaving nothing
but only some cold remains.
Little did she know, how her old ones
wept and yelled at Christ to bring her back.
Little did she know, how they hired
a band to play her most loved tunes
while the requiem and tears progress.
Little did she know, she'd always
had a place deep inside
the hearts of these broken-hearted.
Now she's gone on her journey, her
adventure searching for somewhere.
May darkness eventually bring her there.
