Caged bird (me)
The sky is vast,
I wish to see what is beyond those walls.
I couldn’t fly even I do have wings,
Bound by those invisible chains.
Surrounded by the cage,
I barely know about this age.
They said the flowers out there are more beautiful,
They said the scenery out there is wonderful.
Waters are sweeter,
The grasses are greener.
I wonder if all is true,
I want to see it too.
I finally left the cage,
Making my own place in this age.
Gliding through winds in the sky,
Leaving the ground I fly high.
Leaving those shackles behind,
Free of everything in my mind.
I am finally free,
Free as can be.
I hopped this is real and not a dream,
But sadly it all was just a dream.
