Everyone Gets To Be A Hero Except Me

Sometimes everybody feels a little like they've been left alone

They feel like the world has passed them by

They feel alone in a crowd

And all it makes them want to do is sigh

I have been there myself

I know exactly exactly how it feels

The world walks all over us with their heels

But I believe that their are better times ahead

Because ev'ry dog has its day

And sometimes good news comes our way

Sometimes something works out better than we'd planned

Then we feel like clapping our hands

And maybe saying a quiet amen

So let's never give in to fear

Though our lives be filled with tears

Someone that I know works thing out for the best

And someday I hope that all of us will be at rest
