Can you see the sky,
The cloud, the one so close,
As if we could catch it with our palms.
Can you see the moon,
That floats on the lake like a reachable cake.
And the stars, dotting close to it,
Marking the passing of another year.
So why,
Can't I reach that cake,
A floating phantom,
A contorted face,
That mocks with ecstasy,
my world build upon,
The untrue fantasy.
A hammer of reality,
Shapes me into the model of rationality.
Will I ever collect,
My shattered pieces of trueness.
Upon the lake I saw reflections of stars.
They blinked at me. They stared at me singing.
The lament of the fading childhood.
