a poem about a flower and life

A seed was planted, give it time to grow
In the ground, cover with dirt
Be patient, wait for the beauty to show
From beneath the soil, new life has risen
Be tender, smile upon this blessing
Grateful for this gift that was given
Colorful, soaking in the rays
Nature's eye candy
Long stares, it's hard to look away
Aging slowly, roots firm deep down
Pedals start to wither
As time continues, the earth goes round
A wonderful life but it's time for an end
Lay to rest, Goodnight
My beautiful little friend
