Words can kill.

And once spoken can't be sucked back in.

No, their left like a tornado to run their course.

Raping the mind's emotion.

Twisting the heart's contortion.

Words canmurderjust as well.

They can bring us to our inner hell.

They make alive what we fear.

They torment all we hold dear.

"Think before you speak," they say.

They were right because in a moment's breath they can slaughter what we try to protect and hold at bay.

In a moment's breath we show how we think.

In a moment's breath we show who we are.

We show the anger, the hatred, the pain we feel all in a few syllables tied together.

A single flow of air formed into a sentence left to reek havoc on a poor soul.

We are so adept athiding whatwe feel.

But when things build, the truth is torn from our lips.

All the lies we build to protect our thoughts areripped to the ground.

Our walls are shattered.

Our masks break.

Left to show our ugly face.

Our horrid motives.

And our hideous forms.

And like a tornado they're left to reek havoc.

All in a moment's breath.
