An elephant lived in a forest
Lived life with his own wishes
As he grew he noticed
Others have a favorite tree
He too began searching a tree
At last, he found a banyan tree
He started spending time there
Lying under the shade of tree
The tree offered fruits and leaves
The tree bent its branches in love
He kissed them with his trunk
One day a strong storm came
The banyan tree got uprooted
The elephant tried had to hold
A cyclone took the tree away
Years after years are passing
The elephant still visits there
Lies there in bright sunlight
Tears flow from his small eyes
He says, "If a cyclone can take
her away, another will bring."
