Whiskey Conversations

Poetry By: Julian Eckhart

Short poem, it speaks for itself.

We hopped the fence whiskey in hand
Under the starry sky in Dixie Land
We spoke of leaving this place
Swimmin' in the water
Askin' Jack Daniels to make our youth just a bit longer
He betrayed us both in the end
We never left town
Just woke up hungover
In our same small town.
