Don't Press The Red Button

Poetry By: Juliette Labelle

I have no idea why I wrote this. I was just thinking about buttons...and explosions.

There is a button,

And you're not supposed to touch it.

But oh how tempting,

That shiny red button can be.

And when you're alone,

With this button,

You were told,

"Do not press the red button."

Of course you try.

You try so hard,

Not to think about that button.

But then,

It becomes too much.

Your finger twitches,

Stretches,

Moves closer.

A moment of pause,

Build the suspense.

And then....

KABOOM!!!

I told you not to press the red button...
