PILGRIMAGE

You and I finally collide

You kiss like a dream, drugging me

You touch like a blind man always seeking, always sure

You make my body shout and sing

with pleasure of your thrusts, how you do your thing

I ache and yet i cant stop

***

till you say, you forgot something

you want to go back

to the church and beg forgiveness

for all we have done

for our love

***

nothing was real, i was a fool

and i was never ever going to go anywhere with you

you who was lonely and seemed to want company

seemed to want me; seemed to love

seemed to care

you never left your house

you never wanted to

***

the journey is ended

and i am lost

i am in a strange strange place

afraid and heartbroken

***

my lover left me standing

outside the gates of the new city

and i dont know where he is gone back to

i wont see him any more

he wont stand behind me facing the sea

his body warm and strong, embracing me

he wont kiss my nose

and look at me like that no more

***

oh come on please please oh god

open the gates, open the door

i'm alone out here

and i cant take it any more

***
